Today we stayed in Banbury, there were things to do, collect post, buy fruit and veg at the market and stuff from the pound shops.
Remember I was looking at a new phone at Market Harborough but they didn’t have one in stock, so I checked the Banbury branch of Phones4U but they didn’t have any either. Fortunately the Carphone Warehouse did have a newer model in stock, the Huawei Ascend Y300, which was over £20 dearer but still a lot of phone for the money. I then spent most of the day setting it up and learning how to use it.
Dusty arrived in town at lunchtime so we were able to top up with diesel before we continue our jaunt.
I also was able to buy a couple of pipe fenders at Tooley’s Boatyard and attempt to splice some eyes on the ropes to attach them.
I also spent a lot of time too trying to get car insurance quotes as the renewal date looms, but what a nightmare it is dealing with these companies, websites that crash, multiple menus and recorded spiel before you can get to speak to a human. Oh dear, I am a Grumpy Old Git!
