As we had suspected the river conditions deteriorated, with “Red Boards” appearing a few locks away at Windsor, so we decided that discretion was the better part of valour and stayed put on our mooring and had a quiet day on board.
We considered finding a local church but in the end listened to sermon via a podcast from our friend Trevor Josh who is pastor of Cityview a church in Vancouver!
Between tiding up, reading, jigsaws and watching the river level rise and fall, not to mention the unpredictable showers we ventured up into the town, which was surprisingly busy for a Sunday afternoon and treated ourselves to an ice cream.
After such excitement we spent the evening watching TV before retiring to bed.
